Save The Baseball Hall
of Fame Game in
Cooperstown
Since its launch, savethefamegame.com has given an increasing number of
people the opportunity to contact the powers that be at Major League Baseball,
the Players Association and the Hall of Fame to let them know that their
decision needs to be reversed.

Here's a quick rundown of what's been happening since
savethefamegame.com launched on February 4, 2008:
-- The campaign continues to grow by the day, with letters sent in from Alaska
to Los Angeles to Maine to London and all points in between.
-- Due in large part to the assistance of
savethefamegame.com and the
legitimacy the campaign has generated, four members of Congress have sent
their own letters to Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball
Players Association, and more are considering sending their own letter right
now.
-- Local government has stepped up as well, with the Otsego County Board
voicing its opposition to the cancellation, while New York state Senator Jim
Seward has asked the White House to get involved.
-- The Hall of Fame went on record in the media as supporting a fans
movement to save the Hall of Fame Game, and supporting a continuation of the
game beyond 2008.
-- Local and regional media and national blogs have been featuring
savethefamegame.com on its printed and electronic pages and in its broadcasts,
helping to spread the word. There is growing interest in the national media as
well, so check
savethefamegame.com for updates.

In the coming weeks and months,
savethefamegame.com will be making its
presence felt at events where we can reach a lot of people on the ground to help
spread the word and keep the pressure on MLB and the MLBPA. Check
